Congratulations to the Rapid Access Lung Nurse Specialists Janet Clinch and Siobhan Toner, in assisting the NCCP in the development of a ‘NCCP Rapid Access Lung Cancer Clinic Patient Booklet’ which was awarded he ‘Best Project in a Hospital’ at the Crystal Clear Awards 2012.
The booklet was developed to help patients understand what to expect when they attend clinic. The booklet can also be used as a diary with space for recording dates of tests and questions for the doctor. It is particularly useful in providing information on healthy lifestyle and in particular quitting smoking.
