Chaplaincy Department

The Chaplaincy Department provides a multi-denominational service, which seeks to meet the pastoral, emotional and spiritual needs of patients, family and staff members. A chaplain is available on a 24-hour basis.

A Roman Catholic mass or service is held in the hospital chapel, which is located on the ground floor near the staff canteen, at 1pm Monday to Friday, while weekend masses are at 7.30pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday.

Holy Communion and The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick are available, on request. Holy Communion is also available for Church of Ireland patients, on request. Chaplains of other faith traditions also visit the hospital and can be contacted through the chaplain on duty.

Eucharistic Adoration occurs in the hospital chapel from 7am to 8am and 7pm to 8pm every day, with the exception of Saturday evening.

The Mosque is located on the ground floor, on the General Services corridor.
