This service is a multidisciplinary service that operates in Beaumont Hospital, the community and St. Ita’s Hospital. In Beaumont Hospital, it provides a consultation service for elderly patients with referrals received from the hospital doctors (447 in-patient referrals in 2007). The patients are see by a psychiatric registrar or senior registrar and on a weekly consultant ward round.
