Clinical Services

In addition to services at Beaumont Hospital, in-patient care is provided at St. Joseph's Hospital Raheny, These include Geriatric Medicine Day Hospital and rehabilitation services and extended nursing and medical care at the Raheny Community Nursing Unit. We also provide extended medical and nursing care at St. Mary's Hospital, Phoenix Park and outreach to residents of Lusk Community Nursing Unit.

At present the clinical activities our department provides include:

1. Out-patient clinics in Geriatric & General Internal Medicine, Stroke, Syncope & Memory Clinic
2. Acute Medicine On Call
3. Acute Stroke On Call
4. Our department is involved in acute stroke thrombolysis provision, acute stroke unit care and medical management of patients undergonig thrombectomy and hemi-craniectomy."
5. Geriatric Medicine Day Hospital service at St. Joseph's Hospital, Raheny
6. Ortho-geriatric liaison
7. Geriatric Medicine Consult service to in-patients under the care of Beaumont Hospital Consultants
8. Long term Care and rehabilitation services ( as described above)
