When to attend the Emergency Department
Go to an ED urgently instead of an injury unit for:
- anything pregnancy-related
- injuries to the chest, tummy (abdomen) or pelvis
- serious head and spine injuries
Patients presenting to Emergency Department are seen in order of clinical priority. People presenting with non-urgent or minor conditions and injuries may experience extended wait times.
