Electroencephalography (EEG) is a recording of the electrical activity or the brain. It is painless and in fact most relaxing. Sleep deprived EEG
Sleep deprived EEG requires that you stay up from 3am the night before the test preparation is the same as the routine EEG. This test lasts about an hour and twenty minutes. Patient Information Leaflet.
Nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG)
Nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) are usually carried out by the physician and are used to study nerve and muscle function.
