Financial Direction Management and Control

The Professional Finance functions of the Finance Department are led by the Director of Finance & Procurement, the Management Accountant and the Financial Accountant who are responsible for the following key result areas:

  • Financial Direction,
  • Planning ,Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Devolved Budgeting and Management Support
  • Financial Reporting, Analysis and Performance Monitoring
  • Value-for- Money Programmes and Cost Management
  • Funder Relations, Allocation Management and Monitoring
  • Casemix and Speciality Costing
  • Patient-Level  and DRG level Costing
  • Compliance and Audit
  • Management of the Administration and Transaction Processing Sections

The issue of purchase orders is governed by specific terms and conditions that have now been up-dated to reflect the Hospital’s requirements arising from Brexit and Covid-19.
