Nursing Philosophy
The Philosophy ensures that Nursing is committed to providing holistic patient-centred care to the highest possible standard in partnership within the interdisciplinary team.

Structure
The Department of Nursing is managed by the Director of Nursing, Sinead Connolly who is accountable at executive level for the nursing services of the Hospital, including St Josephs Hospital, Raheny and the Raheny Community Nursing Unit.
A decentralized nursing management structure is in place with the Directorate Nurse Managers working with the Clinical Nurse Managers overseeing each of these areas:
- Neurosciences, ENT, and Cochlear Implant
- Cardiology and Care of the Elderly / Oncology
- General Medicine & Emergency Department
- Nephrology / Transplantation / Urology
- Surgical
- Operating Department / ICU
