Admission Arrangements
Admission to St. Joseph's Hospital is on an elective basis. That is, admission dates are pre-arranged. Patients can also be transferred from Beaumont Hospital.
Time of Admission: Monday - Friday (or by appointment.)

Essential items to bring
Please bring as applicable:
- Identification
- Medical Card Number (if applicable)
- Private Medical Insurance Number (if applicable)
- PPS Number
- If you require a Letter/Cert for work/social welfare purposes this should be requested on admission.
For overnight stay
Patients should bring their own nightwear, towels, dressing gown, slippers and toiletries. You will have a locker and a small wardrobe beside your bed. There is no laundry service provided in the Hospital. Please note that towels are not provided.

Personal Property
Please note that the hospital is not responsible for items brought into the units. Large sums of money (including jewellery) should not be brought into the Hospital. Space is limited so only bring essential items. Any items left after the discharge will be discarded after three months if not collected
Accommodation for Relatives
While there are no facilities for relatives to stay in the Hospital, a list of local Bed & Breakfast is available from Reception.
