What can I expect when I come for my blood testing appointment?

From Aug 1st 2024 all appointments for out-patient blood tests  will take place in Beaumont Hospital and not in St Josephs Hospital.

 If you are a patient of a Consultant in Beaumont Hosptial and you have been asked to have blood tests before your appointment, please see HERE and select the Consultants blood test link to make an appointment to have your blood test in Beaumont Hospital 

 If your GP has requested you to have blood tests GP patients and family members of patients can go to the Hospital'splease see HERE and select the GP patient blood test link to make an appointment to have your blood test in Beaumont Hospital

  • Phlebotomy no longer offers a walk-in service. You must book your appointment via www.swiftqueue.ie or by calling 01 291 0993 between 8am and 4pm. 
  • The booking system allows for reduced waiting times and allows patients to maintain safe social distancing.
  • Patients are being asked to attend no more than 5 minutes before their scheduled appointment time, to ensure safe physical and social distancing and to avoid over-crowding.
  • For patients who arrive without a prior appointment we will attempt to accommodate you on the same day, however if there is not immediate availability you will be asked to leave the area and return 5 mins prior to your appointment.
  • Please continue to avail of the hand sanitisers provided
