Health Promotion is about promoting healthy lifestyle behaviours that positively influence both patient and staff wellbeing. The aim is to foster a greater balance between illness prevention and curative services through promoting healthy lifestyle choices. In doing so, the service encourages people to take an active role in their own health.
The Health Promotion team work in partnership with other hospital services focussing on enabling people to take responsibility for their own physical and mental health. We provide health promotion information and services e.g. quit smoking support service and wellbeing stress management outpatient programme.
