Biography

Professor Rajab graduated from Basrah Medical College in 1994. He completed his Higher Specialist Training in Advanced Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgeries and Urogynaecology in the UK. He has 14 years experience in both obstetrics and gynaecology. Professor Rajab has a wide range of interests in general benign gynaecology, pelvic floor reconstructive surgery and urogynecology. He had sub-speciality training in minimal access surgery having completed his training in South London Hospitals.

 

 

Scope of practice

Areas of Clinical Practice:

  • General Gynaecology, management of menorrhagia
  • Pelvic floor surgery and surgery for all types of prolapse
  • Management of of infertility, and pelvic pain.

 

Areas of Special Expertise: 

  • Advanced laparoscopic hysterectomy
  • Aparoscopic treatment of endometriosis such as laser treatment and radical resection
  • Laparoscopic treatment for benign ovarian tumours and cyst
  • Laparoscopic myomectomy and sacrocolpopexy
  • Laparoscopic cervical cerclage, adhesiolysis and pelvic infection treatment
  • Hysteroscopic resection of fibroids and polyps and uterine septum and resection of endometrial ablation.
  • Management of pelvic prolapse and incontinence, both stress and urge, through TVTO, TVTs and periurethral endoscopic injection and bladder Botox injection
  • Management of uterine and vault prolapse
