As an academic teaching hospital, providing the highest standards of excellence in patient care and service delivery is underpinned by a strong culture of continuous education, learning and development for all our staff.
At Beaumont Hospital, we promote inter-professional learning to enhance cross-boundary working, and we welcome colleagues from our local community and regional partner sites in the service of integrated patient care.
The Education, Learning and Development Team provides guidance and support to employees at every stage of their career pathway from induction to ongoing continuous professional development. We work with internal and external contributors to provide leadership development, career coaching, and support for involvement in audit, research, quality improvement and change initiatives
Beaumont Hospital offers employees a range of accredited education programmes in association with our academic partners.
Our online learning portal, Beaumont Online Resource for Interactive Study (BORIS), offers employees a personalised learning experience, enabling self-management of educational portfolios and providing employees with just-in-time educational opportunities.
Beaumont Hospital is committed to promoting healthy communities and to attracting the future healthcare workforce by inviting our Transition Year (TY) students from schools in the local and surrounding region to participate in the hospital’s annual TY programme. The programme, which is a collaborative between Beaumont Hospital and our academic partners: DCU and RCSI Medical School, provides a rich mix of interactive and practical sessions with a cross section of our clinical and non-clinical staff.
