Alan Moore graduated from Trinity College Dublin before completing his Basic Specialist Training at St Vincent’Hospital Dublin & Boston City Hospital, Massachusetts. He completed Specialist Registrar Training in Ireland & at King’sCollege Hospital,London. He was appointed as a Consultant Geriatrician/General Physician in 2003. He is a former National Specialty Director for Geriatric Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and has been a Regional Programme Director since 2005. He completed a sabbatical year as a Geriatrician in Perth Western Australia in 2014. He was appointed as a Dean of Postgraduate Education at Beaumont Hospital in 2016 and as an Honorary Associate Professor in RCSI Medical School in 2018. He currently chairs the Medical Education & Training Committee at Beaumont Hospital
