Professor Patrick Redmond is a GP and Associate Professor in General Practice at RCSI. He has previously held clinical academic roles in Ireland, Australia, and the UK, having obtained his PhD through the Health Research Board PhD Scholars Programme. Patrick's research focuses on enhancing patients' cancer journey from diagnosis to survivorship, with a view to improving outcomes and reducing healthcare costs. He has led research and teaching programmes at the Healthcare Improvement Studies (THIS) Institute at the University of Cambridge, the University of Western Australia, and King's College London. He supervises doctoral and clinical academic trainees and was previously Editor in Chief of the BJGP Open journal having also sat on the editorial board of the Irish College of General Practice’s (ICGP) official journal Forum and the ICGP Quality in Practice Committee.
