Under the management of Beaumont Hospital since 2004, St Joseph’s Hospital was originally used as a rehabilitation hospital where patients of the main Hospital recovered following surgery. It now provides non-complex in-patient and day surgery and out-patient services in its own right as well as a rehabilitation unit, with consultants attending from Beaumont. Out-patient services are provided in the Care of the Elderly Day Hospital. There is also residential care provided in the Raheny Community Nursing Unit.
The campus has undergone significant development in the past 6 years with the addition of new services including looking after patients who need infusions, Radiology including MRI, venesection and bone health. We are proud of the multidisciplinary service we can now offer.
Non-complex surgeries are carried out in the hospital for many of our services.
Care of the Elderly Day Hospital provides comprehensive geriatric assessment via a multi-disciplinary team.
Parking is provided for patients and visitors of patients/residents on site. Quiet Room, canteen and garden area access available.
