Palliative care aims to improve the quality of life of people facing the problems associated with life-limiting illness. The Beaumont Hospital Palliative Care Service provides specialist medical, nursing and social work care. Our aim is to ensure that, as far as possible, your quality of life is maintained and that any concerns are addressed and if possible alleviated.

Talk to an Irish Cancer Society Cancer Nurse or trained volunteer for information and support. 

A visit to a Daffodil Centre provides people affected by cancer with the chance to ask questions and talk through their concerns with a cancer nurse and trained volunteers.

Poisons Information Centre

The National Poisons Information Centre (NPIC) in Beaumont Hospital provides information to doctors and healthcare professionals to assist them in the management of acute poisoning.  We also advise members of the public on the need for urgent medical attention if accidental poisoning is suspected. Poisons may include medicines, household products, pesticides, chemicals, plants and mushrooms.

The audiology department aims to provide a comprehensive diagnostic service for audiological and vestibular evaluations.

We work very closely with the ENT Department (Ear Nose & Throat) and provide a range of diagnostic hearing evaluations which are used to assess your hearing profile and to determine hearing impairments.  We provide a range of tests including
