Dr Elma Buckley graduated from University College, Cork in 1997. She obtained her Fellow of the College of Anaesthetics, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FCA RCSI) in 2003 and obtained her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2007.

Dr Margaret Bourke graduated from the National University of Galway in 1988. She subsequently completed her Fellowship Higher specialist training in the following: Fellow of the Faculty of Anaesthetists, Diploma in Management for Medical Doctors Trauma Fellowship HEMS London Diploma in Prehospital Care RCSEd Paediatric Intensive Care Fellowship Diploma in Leadership and Quality in Healthcare
