St. Michael’s Ward in Beaumont Hospital is a ten-bed in-patient unit for men and women who want to address substance use disorders by detoxifying or stabilizing, following referral from community based treatment centres. The programme provides nursing, counselling and medical support using a holistic approach. Beaumont Hospital inpatients can also be referred to the substance misuse psychiatric registrar for assessment and advice regarding drug addiction.
