When you arrive our admin team will register you.  After that you will be seen by a triage nurse who will assess you.  Based on that assessment you will be prioritise to be seen based on your condition. But if anything changes or if you begin to feel worse, let them know right away.

Patients who are seriously ill, injured or worried that their life is in danger should always attend the ED where they will be treated as a priority.

Patients presenting to Emergency Department are seen in order of clinical priority. People presenting with non-urgent or minor conditions and injuries may experience extended wait times.

It is important that we have all your correct details – we will only send correspondance or texts to you at the address or phone number we have for you on file – if you change your address or mobile number please let the Clinic Secretary know.   It is also a good idea to check with the Clinic Secretary when you are at your next OPD appointment that we have your correct details. Make sure your let your GP know if you have changed your address as well.

While we generally ask that patients arrive alone for their appointments we understand that some patients will need help – so if this applies to you then yes of course you can bring someone with you.  You can also ask that our companion comes into the appointment with you so you understand everything you are being told.  They may be asked to wait outside if the doctor wants to examine you.

Yes, if English is not your first language we can arrange an Interpreter/Translator to go to your appointment with you.  To arrange this you must contact the Clinic Secretary at least a week before your appointment date so arrangements can be made.  Check the letter you received confirming your appointment for the contact details
